Cancel a booking as a guide
How to cancel before and after payment, and why paid bookings need support's help.

Sometimes you need to cancel a booking. What you can do yourself depends on whether the traveler has already paid.
Before payment
If a booking is still pending or accepted but not yet paid, you can cancel it yourself from your bookings list. This removes it from your calendar right away and lets the traveler know. There's no fee or penalty for cancelling an unpaid booking.
After payment (confirmed or completed)
Once a booking is confirmed (paid) — or completed — you can't cancel it yourself from the app. Contact us as soon as possible and we'll review the situation. Cancellations and disputes involving a paid booking are handled case by case, since a refund to the traveler may be involved.
Why it works this way
Unpaid bookings are easy to unwind — nothing has changed hands yet. Paid bookings involve real money for the traveler, so a person on our team reviews those to make sure it's handled fairly for everyone.
If it's an emergency
If something urgent comes up close to a tour date, contact us right away with the booking details — the sooner we know, the sooner we can help.
Still need help?
For anything involving a paid booking you need to cancel, contact us rather than trying to resolve it directly with the traveler.
