Applying to be a guide takes about 15–20 minutes across eight short steps. Your answers save automatically as you move between steps, so you can pause and pick up right where you left off.
Before you start
Create an account or sign in, then open guide onboarding from your dashboard. If you're brand new, sign up and choose the guide option, or start from Become a Guide.
The eight steps
- Basics — Your name, profile photo, country, primary city, and any additional cities you guide in. You'll also add your sexual orientation, pronouns, and gender identity (you can choose to hide the identity fields from your public profile), plus a short tagline, bio, and tour description.
- Alignment — Three commitments: that you'll provide an LGBTQ+-affirming experience, that you agree to our code of conduct, and that you won't offer or imply sexual services. You'll also share why you want to guide.
- Specialties — The tags that describe your tours (food, nightlife, history, art, and more) and the languages you speak.
- Rates — Your prices for 4-, 6-, and 8-hour tours and the currency you're paid in. Leave a duration blank to skip offering it — see Choose a tour duration.
- Availability — The days of the week you're generally free, whether you're available for nightlife tours, the maximum number of consecutive days you'll guide a multi-day trip, and the largest group size you'll accept.
- Meeting Points — Up to three meeting points travelers can choose from, plus whether you'll allow a traveler to propose a custom meeting point.
- Documents — Your legal name and a government ID for verification. See Verification documents for guides for exactly what's required.
- Contact & Socials — Your phone number and any social or messaging handles you want to share (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, WhatsApp, Telegram, Zalo).
Submitting
After step 8, select Submit Application. If anything required is missing, you'll see exactly what to fix. Once submitted, your application moves to review — see Application status and review for what happens next.
