Verification documents for guides
What ID to upload, how it's used, and why it's deleted as soon as your application is reviewed.

Every guide on Rainbow Tour Guides is manually verified before their profile goes live. This keeps the community safe for travelers and guides alike. Here's exactly what we ask for and what happens to it.
What to provide
In the Documents step of your application, you'll enter:
- Your full legal name, exactly as it appears on your ID — including middle names. A mismatch will delay your review.
- Document type — passport, driver's license, national ID, guide license, electoral card, or Ministry of Tourism tour guide license.
- Document number, exactly as printed.
- A photo of the document itself.
Photo requirements
- A clear photo of your passport, driver's license, or national ID.
- Legible text, no glare, and all four edges of the document visible.
- No edits or filters.
- Maximum file size: 2MB.
A blurry, cropped, or edited photo is one of the most common reasons a review takes longer than expected.
How your document is used and protected
Your ID is used only by our team to confirm your identity matches your application. It's never shown to travelers and never appears on your public profile.
Still need help?
If your upload keeps failing, check that the file is under 2MB and in a supported image format (JPG, PNG, WebP, or GIF). If it still won't go through, contact us.
