What other people can see

Understand what's public on a guide profile, and what stays private on a traveler account.

Guide profiles and traveler profiles work very differently when it comes to who can see what.

Guide profiles are public

A published guide profile shows photos, bio, tagline, tour description, languages, specialties, service cities, rates, meeting points, and published reviews. It's designed to help travelers evaluate a guide before booking.

Guide identity fields

Every guide chooses an answer for sexual orientation, and one of the options is Prefer not to say. If a guide shares an orientation, it is shown on their public profile and used in guide search; if they choose Prefer not to say, their profile shows "Not disclosed". Guides can change their answer at any time from their profile. Travelers can filter the guide directory by orientation, and only guides who have chosen to share theirs appear in a filtered view. Pronouns and gender identity are different — guides choose whether to display those publicly with a show/hide toggle in their settings, so a guide can share as much or as little as they're comfortable with.

Traveler profiles are private

Traveler profiles are not public. They're visible only to you, and to a guide you have an active or past booking with — never to other travelers or to the general public. This is different from a guide profile, which anyone can browse.

What guides see about a traveler

When you send a booking request, the guide can see the details needed to evaluate and respond to it. Your saved payment card details are never visible to a guide — Rainbow Tour Guides doesn't share card information with anyone but the payment processor.

Your email, phone, and WhatsApp number are shared with the guide only once the booking is paid. Your emergency contact is never shown to a guide.

What stays private either way

Card and payment details, private account data, and anything you haven't chosen to share never appear on a public profile or get shared between travelers and guides outside what's needed for a booking. Our support and admin teams can access relevant records when needed for safety, disputes, or legal obligations — see the Privacy Policy for details.
