Create and verify an account

Creating an account takes a couple of minutes, whether you're planning a trip as a traveler or applying to guide.

Choose traveler or guide

On the sign-up page, choose Traveler or Guide before filling in your details. This choice sets up the right kind of account from the start, so pick the one that matches why you're here — you can always apply to become a guide later from a traveler account if your plans change.

Sign up with email

1. Enter your name, email, and a password.
2. Your password needs at least 8 characters, with uppercase, lowercase, a number, and a symbol.
3. Accept the Terms of Service. Opting into the newsletter is completely optional and separate from accepting the Terms.
4. Complete the security check.
5. Submit — you'll be sent a confirmation email.

Sign up with Google

You can also sign up using the Continue with Google button. Make sure you've selected the right account type (Traveler or Guide) first, since that's what your Google sign-up creates. See Sign in with Google for more on how this works.

Verify your email

If you signed up with email and password, look for a confirmation message and follow its link. If it's not in your inbox within a few minutes, check spam or junk. Until your email is verified, you won't be able to sign in — the verification screen has a resend option if you need a fresh link. See A verification or reset email has not arrived if it's still missing.
