Reviews after a tour

How reviews work, who can leave one, and when they go public.

For travelers and guides1 min readUpdated September 24, 2026

Reviews on Rainbow Tour Guides only come from people who actually completed a paid tour together, and both sides get to leave one.

Who can leave a review

Only the traveler and guide on a specific completed booking can review each other about that booking. You can't review a guide (or a traveler) you haven't booked with.

How to leave one

From a completed booking on your bookings dashboard, select Review Guide. You'll choose a star rating from 1 to 5 and write a short review — a few sentences is enough, and there's a minimum length so reviews stay meaningful rather than a single word.

Reviews are mutual and double-blind

Both sides review each other, and neither review is shown until both are in (or a short window passes). This keeps reviews honest — no one can see the other's review and adjust their own before submitting.

When reviews go live

Your review publishes once both you and your guide have submitted, or automatically after 48 hours from when the tour completed, whichever comes first. Until then, you'll see a note that your review has been submitted but isn't visible yet.

If something went wrong on your tour

A review is the right place to share genuine feedback about your experience, but it isn't the right channel for a safety concern or a serious problem with a booking. For those, see Report a safety concern — issues like that are handled separately from public reviews.

Still need help?

If you completed a tour but don't see the option to review it, double check the booking shows as Completed on your dashboard — reviews only open up at that stage.
