Read a guide profile

A guide's profile is where you decide whether they're the right fit for your trip. Here's what each part means and where to find it.

Photo, name, and verification

At the top of the profile you'll see the guide's photo, name, city, and a Verified badge if they've completed our full application and document review — see How guides are verified for what that covers. If they've received reviews, you'll also see their average star rating and review count.

About, tagline, and tour description

The About section includes the guide's tagline, a longer bio, and a description of the kind of tour they give. Many guides also share why they wanted to become a guide on Rainbow Tour Guides, which can be a good sense-check for whether their style matches what you're looking for.

Languages and specialties

Guides list the languages they speak and the specialties or interests they focus on (for example nightlife, art, food, or local history). Use these to judge fit before reaching out.

Meeting points

Most guides list up to three fixed meeting points, each with an address and a map link. Some also allow a custom meeting point (like your hotel) if none of their listed spots work for you. You'll choose from these when you send a booking request.

Rates and durations

Guides set prices for the tour lengths they offer: 4, 6, or 8 hours. If a guide doesn't offer a particular length, it simply won't appear as an option. The price shown is the guide's base rate for up to 2 travelers — see Choose a tour duration and Group size and extra travelers for how the final price is built.

Reviews

Reviews come only from travelers who completed a paid booking with that guide, and they're published only after both the traveler and the guide have submitted their side (or automatically after a short window either way) — see Reviews after a tour. This keeps reviews honest on both sides rather than one-sided.
