Your local friend in Copenhagen
Originally from Jutland, I moved to Copenhagen in 1999 to serve in the Royal Guard - and somewhere between marching, history, and trying to look serious in uniform, I fell in love with the city.
I have lived most of my adult life in Copenhagen, with detours for studying and working in Argentina, Italy, and England. Since 2008, I have guided more than 1,000 tours, and I still call it the best part-time job in the world — alongside my work as an Associate Professor.
My tours combine history, storytelling, local life, and a good dose of humour. Copenhagen has plenty of kings, queens, secrets, scandals, and beautiful contradictions — so there is always something to talk about.
And yes, I wrote this myself. But in my defence, no one knows my jokes better than I do.
Easy, flexible and personal. If you want 6 hours of Danish history, buy a book or down an app. With me you get a personal tour based on your preferences, interest and my knowledge and experience.
Essentially you book my time, maybe with transportation, and then we sort a final programme and itinerary out on the day.
I've been guiding for almost 15 years now, and I prefer small groups of likeminded intelligent, knowledgeable and cultivated humans with an open mind and heart to the world we live in.
This guide is also happy to meet at your hotel or a custom location.
