In my opinion, a guide shouldn't simply overwhelm guests with precise historical facts about a site—after all, they could easily read that information in books themselves. Tours should be more dynamic; international guests ought to engage and interact with the local population, learn about their customs and traditions firsthand, and even hear their personal family stories. It is time to move away from formulaic, "cookie-cutter" tours. During their short stay in Azerbaijan, international tourists should experience life in the country just as the locals do.
