Curating journeys rooted in culture and human connection
Cape Town-based well-being and cultural architect, storyteller, and lover of people, places, good food, and the beautiful chaos of human connection. I speak 11 of South Africa’s 12 official languages, have travelled across every province in the country, explored several African nations, and spent time in the U.S. — so I’m deeply at home in the magic of cross-cultural exchange.
My work has led me through immersive retreats, community spaces, and experiences rooted in story, embodiment, land, and meaningful encounter. I love the way travel expands us — how a shared meal, a conversation with a stranger, or the smell of the ocean at sunset can completely shift how we understand the world and ourselves within it.
One of my favourite things about Cape Town is the ongoing love affair between the mountains and the sea. The city feels like a moving meditation — earth grounding you, mountain air lifting you, the ocean softening you — all while the sun spends the day flirting between the peaks and the water. Yoh, it’s hard not to fall in love here.
Expect thoughtful conversation, laughter, layered stories, local flavour, beautiful scenery, and experiences that feel less like a tour and more like being welcomed into a living, breathing story.
My tour style is immersive, participatory, and deeply rooted in human connection. Think less “tour guide with a flag” and more being shown around by that one local friend who can move seamlessly from a hidden food spot, to a conversation on history and anthropology, to a mountain lookout, to a dance floor before the night ends.
As a proud millennial born in 1990, I love the pulse and energy of city life — live music, nightlife, good food, beautiful people, and spaces where culture is alive and evolving in real time. At the same time, I’m deeply grounded in nature and the ways land, ocean, movement, and stillness invite us back into relationship with ourselves and the world around us.
My experiences are shaped by well-being, storytelling, cultural exchange, and curiosity. I enjoy weaving together history, anthropology, local insight, somatic awareness, and meaningful conversation in ways that feel alive rather than academic.
I believe the best experiences are never one-size-fits-all, which is why my tours are always tailored and curated around the energy, needs, and interests of the individual or group. I value spaciousness and intentional slow travel — creating room to genuinely engage with a place, its people, its rhythm, and whatever naturally unfolds along the way. Sometimes that looks like lingering longer over a shared meal, stopping for an unexpected conversation, sitting quietly with a view, or spontaneously following the sound of music down a side street.
Whether we are exploring the city, connecting with communities, watching the sunset over the ocean, or dancing somewhere in Cape Town after dark, I want people to leave feeling like they truly encountered the spirit of a place — not just its landmarks.
Expect depth, humour, movement, local flavour, beautiful scenery, layered conversation, and moments that feel both grounding and expansive. A little soulful, a little playful, a little “yoh, that was unforgettable.”
I enjoy guiding LGBTQIA+ travellers because I care deeply about creating spaces where people can arrive fully as themselves — without shrinking, explaining, or having to negotiate their identity. Travel has the potential to be profoundly expansive, and I believe it should also be safe, affirming, joyful, and rooted in dignity.
For me, guiding is always about connection and care. South Africa holds layered histories around identity, visibility, belonging, and resistance, and I hold that context with respect while also making space for ease, celebration, and genuine human encounter. I love being able to offer experiences where people can soften into the moment — whether we are exploring culture, sharing food, moving through city spaces, sitting in nature, or finding ourselves unexpectedly in music and conversation.
There is also something deeply meaningful to me about building global community through travel. I see it as a form of cultural cross-pollination and world building — where people from different backgrounds meet not just as tourists and hosts, but as participants in a shared human story. These encounters can stretch perspective, deepen empathy, and remind us of how interconnected we are.
At the heart of my work is the intention to create experiences where people feel seen, welcomed, and part of something larger than themselves — a living exchange between place, people, and presence.
